What is Breathevia Hay System?

Breathevia Hay System is a process that neutralizes dust and allergens contained in hay, which are largely responsible for lung problems in horses.

This exclusive process restores the breathability of the hay to optimize the physiological state of your horse.

Breathevia Hay System quickly and effectively improves the health and well-being of horses suffering from lung problems and diseases such as breath, RAO, COPD and equine asthma and in a prolonged manner.

Breathevia Hay System is a unique process offering a 100% natural solution, clinically proven and respectful of the horse's physiology in order to bring horses as close as possible to what nature has to offer them.

The Technology Behind the Efficiency

By mixing and shaking the hay, a large part of the allergens contained in it will come loose and be mechanically evacuated to prevent the horse from being exposed to it.

Additionally, chopping the hay breaks down the plant stems, which often contain internal mold. Then, by mixing the oil into the hay, it will cause the remaining particles, which cause allergic reactions in horses, to stick to the hay.

This prevents these particles from entering the animal's respiratory system and disrupting its immune system. The particles will then be ingested and eliminated through the digestive system, which is not a problem for the animal.

Breathevia Hay System Neutralizer

Why vegetable oil instead of water?

The allergens in hay are the result of fermentation of the sugars and nitrogen in plants. For this process to occur, the plant must contain more than 15% moisture when baled. By adding water, or steam, to hay, this process will reset, causing a second fermentation and a second production of allergens, often in less than 24 hours. We can therefore conclude that the water added to dusty hay will neutralize the allergens from the first fermentation, but cause a second one. Vegetable oil, for its part, will also neutralize the allergens from the first fermentation without starting a second one. This means that the shelf life will be much longer.

This is therefore less risky, and involves less management of leftover hay from previous meals.
