Snowflake is 6 years old and he is fed exclusively on pellets (granulated hay).
Without being informed of this condition by the pony club where Flocon practices show jumping, a lady and her 7-year-old daughter, who have fallen in love, buy him.
Back on regular hay, in his new stable, his condition deteriorates. Nothing helps, neither pasteurized hay nor cortisone. A visit to the CHUV (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire) is a must. Diagnosis: Flocon has breath (Recurrent Airways Obstruction).
For the little one, this means no competition and for the mother of 4 children, extra work.
A young girl named Gilyane accepts to take care of it, and Flocon is installed in a paddock which adjoins a campsite. Snowflake coughs so much that people complain of not being able to sleep...
Discouraged, she contacts us to ask for help. On October 1, 2014, in bad shape, Flocon valiantly made the trip from Lanaudière to Mirabel. We immediately give him Nutri-Foin, and slowly, but surely he gets back on his feet.
Today, his symptoms are completely gone, and he is doing great without medication! It will be in competition in the summer of 2016 to everyone's delight.
